Principal
Mr. Miller is a business financing professional with bank corporate lending and venture capital/private equity experience dating to 1972. As a private equity/venture capital professional, he managed investments in and provided board level guidance to more than 75 portfolio companies. One of his most notable and successful investments was his participation in the Federal Express Corp. Venture Investor Group in 1973 and 1974. As a banking professional, he was initially a Commercial Lending Officer in South Florida, subsequently was a Senior Lending Officer with responsibilities in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties, and most recently specialized in the provision of structured senior credit facilities to private equity sponsored change of control and re-capitalization transactions in the lower middle market.
Mr. Miller was formerly associated with Southeast First National bank of Miami and Southeast Venture Capital, Inc., Atlantic Bancorporation, Allied Capital Corporation, Massachusetts Capital Corporation, First American Investment Corporation, Florida Capital Ventures, Ltd., and Southern Commerce Bank, N.A. Miller is Chairman and President of Florida Acquisition Partners, Inc., Parent of Southeast Business Capital Advisors. Mr. Miller holds a BBA Degree in Management from Cleveland State University and a MBA Degree from University of Miami.
